Product Overview
Sodium Formate is a salt of formic acid, obtained in the manufacturing process of pentaerythritol. Ercros S.A. manufactures sodium Formate of minimum concentration of 97% and is widely used in:
Tanning industry.
Intermediate product in the chemical industry.
Used in several fabric dyeing and printing processes.
Used as a buffering agent for strong mineral acids to increase their pH, as a food additive (E237), and as a de-icing agent.
Used as a de-icer on airport runways due to its effectiveness and less contamination than salt.
